Publish a component
Anyone can publish: sign up with your email, then publish from your workspace.
ecut renders the preview video from the component's example, so what people see here is what the component renders.
1. Log in once
ecut login --market https://effortless-cut-market.pages.dev
It asks for your email and mails you a 6-digit code. A new email picks its @handle there; that is where your components live.
The login is stored in ~/.config/effortless_cut/credentials.json; your profile lists every login and can end each one.
2. Make it publishable
In components/<name>/:
component.mdwithkind,summary,use_when,propsandversionin the frontmatter. Versions cannot change once published: raiseversionfor every new upload.- At least one
examples/*.jsoncomposition. The first one (or--example) becomes the preview;previewAtpicks the poster frame. - Files the example needs (pictures, data) inside the component folder, referenced with
file:.
3. Check, then publish
ecut publish <name> --dry-run --market https://effortless-cut-market.pages.dev
ecut publish <name> --market https://effortless-cut-market.pages.dev
--dry-run renders the preview and shows what would be uploaded. previews/, dotfiles and node_modules stay at home.
Install
ecut search <words> --market https://effortless-cut-market.pages.dev
ecut add @publisher/name --market https://effortless-cut-market.pages.dev
ecut add @publisher/name@2 --as name2 --market https://effortless-cut-market.pages.dev
Without a version you get the latest. --as puts it in another folder, for example next to a component of the same name.
